Switching Point of View means the ability to think as if you were your customer, or your competitor, or even your old father. It means considering a thought even if you don't like it, because only through simulating other people's mind you can fully understand the reasons behind their ideas and objections.
In a future which is becoming more global and competitive among very different people this is a key value which allows to find compromises and winning ideas with which the most would agree.
It makes possible to discover flaws and aspects you would never be able to find out by yourself alone. It's like a whole heterogeneous team in a single individual.

"I have no special talent. I am only passionately curious". This quote, by the celebrated physicist Albert Einstein, captures the vast power of curiosity.
This potential-laden value is the most important value for tomorrow because every discovery and problem-solving, big or small, personal or global, starts with being curious. In the history of mankind, curiosity has been the driving force behind major discoveries such as electricity. On a personal level, curiosity is what usually leads us to a discovery of a new hobby, an unknown talent, and a better and/or simpler way of doing things.
Curiosity allows us to explore boundaries and expand our horizons. Thus, as we start looking towards tomorrow, we should be willing to leave behind the warmth and comfort of the familiar and the status quo and go down the unfamiliar paths of our curiosity.

We have already come so far, compared to where we were 100, 200, 300 years ago.
Healthcare, education, quality of life, transport have all improved significantly, and all thanks to the ambitious and innovative ideas of great people. I want to be one of these people in the future. I want to come up with original, innovative ideas that will improve existing technologies and even create new ones to make life easier and more comfortable. It's often said that "the sky's the limit" and this is true. The vital thing is that innovation continues and that we don't become stagnant, settling for what we've already achieved. My ideal value is that we celebrate what we have achieved, but that we also focus on further developing the world. The key word here is simple: innovation, the value I promote.
I believe that flexibility is an important value of the future.
Flexibility makes us stronger to face the change and accept new things. We all meet new people who come from different backgrounds than ours and might not think as we think, being flexible is to accept what are others saying and even adopt it if it fits to our beliefs. And in a World that faces change on almost every aspect of the life, we can witness that nothing remains as it is ,and if we resist to change, we can get easily broken, but having flexibility is to accept the change and to reshape ourselves to meet the new demands and circumstances.
Flexible individuals are the ones who succeed and companies must also be flexible in order to face the strong competiton and excel among its competitors.

"If a problem seems to have two different solutions, the simplest one is usually better." This is the basis of Occam's razor: And I truly believe that (with fewer exceptions) it can be applied to all situations, no matter if it's in your job, in a college's test, or in personal life.
The key of happiness is in the simple things. You don't need to wait for extraordinary facts to be happy (don't forget that an extraordinary thing come with rarity, otherwise it wouldn't be extraordinary).
It's simple! However, not easy...

I imagine my future with people that respect and help each other. A place where there are no Italians, Rumanians, Brazilians or Christians, Buddhists or Muslims but people remembered because of their individual stories.
In this way we have Roberto the friendly guy who cooks pasta so well, Alexandru the optimist one who travels a lot or Jose the one with the beautiful smile.
I imagine my future exactly as my Erasmus.
A place where the people are willing to know each other and to have good time together. A place where differences exists but they are important only to prove the uniqueness of each person. A place where the focus is on what we have in common not on what distinguish us.
I imagine a future where there are no foreigners, but human beings who come from far away.

In 2013, we have heard a hundred keynote speeches on the importance of individual dreams and inner passion, we have seen scientists univocally stress environmental issues and likewise, we have seen companies state they will commit to "cleaner" practices.
In 2013, we are a society that appears to have discovered and even over-analyzed the path to excellence in our economic and personal lives-yet not always made a step on it.
Without adamant perseverance, environmental issues will remain bullet points on companies Social Responsibility website sections; self-fulfillment will remain a water cooler dream of nine-to-five workers; and the global economy will grind down to a predictable stalemate. We need perseverance to adhere in our actions to the principles we laid down for a better future and replace mere hot air with the steam of engines of innovation and ambition.

Empathy. Seeing myself reflected through another fuses my well being, success and failure to theirs. What I once called "mine" and "yours" becomes "ours".
I don't discard people, because I empathize with their humanity; nor material goods, because I empathize with their transitions between forms and regeneration; nor ideas, because I empathize with their changeability and perpetual potential.
Empathy is extended towards all entities, not simply mankind. I come to perceive collective responsibility, communicative exchange, and creative chances.
Empathy allows me to share my skills and thoughts with others without a price tag- not unconditional love, but acknowledged relation. When we empathize, we put our best qualities forth in conjunction with those of others to produce the best possible results: results that will continue to resonate because they are not merely good for me, or for you- but for US.
Humility is important, and seems to be a value that not many embrace immediately as such. If a mistake is made, it's important to be honest and admit the mistake as it is, to try and learn from mistakes in order to improve in the future, and to set an example for others.
No one is perfect, no idea will ever be perfect, but learning to admit fault and use that as a fuel to inspire more creative ideas and striving to create better products should always be something that people embrace.
Humility is more important than money, speed, publicity, or politics. Humility also encompasses strength, courage, honesty, consistency, and perseverance.
